Meet Clamian and Josephine Kitesho
Clamian Kitesho and Josephine Kitesho are prominent figures in the Maasai community near Makuyuni, Tanzania. Working together they are involved in community and cultural initiatives, contributing to the preservation and promotion of Maasai heritage and sustainable practices.
Clamian Kitesho is the Executive Director of the Nashipay Maasai Initiatives, a registered NGO dedicated to fostering a resilient, self-sustaining, and informed local community. He is a Maasai leader and elder who has played a pivotal role in establishing several social enterprises, including the Maasai Eco Boma, a demonstration permaculture garden, and the MamaPower Duka. Clamian is also the owner and senior guide for Warrior Trails and sits on the Makuyuni Public School Board.
Josephine Kitesho, working behind the scenes, is essential to the success of the community’s initiatives.
Together, they work tirelessly to ensure that the Maasai community thrives while maintaining their cultural identity and adapting to contemporary challenges.

Manager
Sene, manager at Boma oversees training and capacity development, ensuring that employees and participants receive the necessary skills and knowledge to perform effectively. This includes developing training materials, conducting capacity gap analyses, and implementing training programs. He also support new staff onboarding and foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
Desk Reception
Desk Receptionists play a crucial role in ensuring smooth administrative operations and creating a welcoming environment for visitors and clients. Their duties include managing phone lines, scheduling appointments, greeting visitors, handling inquiries, and maintaining office supplies1. They also ensure security protocols are followed and assist with various administrative tasks to support the overall efficiency of the organization
Housekeeping
Our housekeeping staff member ensures that the premises are clean, orderly, and welcoming for visitors. Their duties include cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, common areas, and restrooms, as well as replenishing supplies like toiletries and linens. They also ensure that all areas comply with hygiene standards and safety protocols, contributing to a pleasant and comfortable environment for guests and staff alike. Their hard work makes the Bomas feel like a home away from home.
